Fixing "Patch version file error" and also issues with very long verifying times when trying to run VelociDrone on OSX for the first time.
OSX has a wonderful security system called Gatekeeper. Unfortunately it's a bit over zealous and quarantines applications not supplied via the apple store. This can cause a lot of problems for VelociDrone as it will be quarantined when you run it. This stops file access which VelociDrone needs in order to run.
Not all systems have the problem documented in this video but if you hit the problem then the this video is the solution.
This video shows you how to remove the quarantine flag from the velocidrone zip archive so that you don't hit any of these problems when running VelociDrone on OSX.
We are more than aware that this is a little annoying but unfortunately unless we provide VelociDrone through the apple store (which will cause other problems with live game patching) this is the best circumvention we have found. It only needs to be done once and then everything should run fine.
