Hi everyone. Went out to cut the grass this morning and discovered I has a flat on the mower. Some people might have the mower taken in or take the tire off and take it in but it's really easy to plug most flat tires on lawn equipment and get back in action right away.
This video shows the steps and how easy it can be. A basic pluging kit costs about $8 or $9 at the local hardware store.
On a technical note I say "patching kit" a couple of times when I should have said "plugging kit". A patch is actually something applied to the inside of the tire and the tire has to be removed from the rim. For my truck I have my tires patched when I have a hole but for lawn equipment and my light duty trailer I just plug them myself. I would likey plug one of my truck tires in a pinch but then have it patched later.
