My insecurity is kicking in and I already hate how this sounds. Hopefully that will get better.
Anyway, I stumbled across Kanoguti while looking up weird Japanese horror games. His songs have a certain charm to it, and soon I found myself listening through his videos. Snails, in my opinion, feels distinct from his other works, being that it notably has a comprehensable melody, something that is not common for Kanoguti.
The song is mainly in 3/4, but towards the end theres that one part where it is 4/4 and to be honest its kinda out-of-place.
And yes I drew the picture. I was trying to draw a snail but got something else.")

An arrangement of Daijins theme SAVE the GAME from Emergency Everyday.
Since old EE is also considered a Lenen game, I put Lenen in the title.
This is something completely different.
This theme is even more chaotic than Tsurubamis. Even Daijin himself said, quote on quote:
This is Daijin’s theme.
This person’s a game freak—a true gamer. His theme’s a bit weird.
On the whole, if you take its shadiness out of the mix, the theme isn’t consistent at all and its hook is weird.
Still, doesn’t that mean this theme matches its character perfectly?
Based on the story, its implied that the Daijin in the gameplay video isnt the real one.
Again, its the basis for the new EE, of course the story would be similar.
Arranging this theme was both fun and frustrating actually. The fact that most of the melody are simple somehow turns me off. However, that one part was fun and chaotic as hell (although it took me longer to get the melody ri- no, it wasnt very accurate, but gave a similar chaotic feeling anyway).
It was kinda difficult to hear everything in that gameplay video though. Im impressed at myself for being able to complete this.
Emergency Everyday belongs to Daijin.
The drawing is drawn by... surprise... surprise... ME! There isnt many fan-arts of the old EE, so I gave it a try. It doesnt look very nice though...

So in this part we moved on to Chapter 2, which is somewhat shorter than I expected.
Im starting to see that the story might be a bit more light-hearted than what you would expect from an RPG Maker game.
Okay, seriously, these guys are very bad at defending themselves. Why sticking to that one statement which gives you the biggest disadvantage? I would dismiss the statement at that instance if I were them.

Part 2 is a bit long so I split it into Investigation and Main Game sections.

Marisa/Koishi team is just hilarious. Did Koishi possess Marisa on a whim or something? Seems like they could swap the Master/Slave role. Also Koishis Is it because you have no friends? made me laugh so hard that I was on the ground for a few seconds. Poor Yukari though, her spell card is pretty pathetic.
Ending summary: Marisa realized shes been attacking Koishi, and Shion is currently her slave. In the end, she proceeded to get mugged. Marisa and Koishi never stood a chance.

Wanwans comment on this song is that it has a somber yet childish sound to it which is frankly what I also feel about it. Initially, I was going for the sad, melancholic theming, but decided against it because the original song already filled that theme. So I decided to make it like an epic battle theme, while also retaining some child-like and sadness.
And like Wanwan, I dont have the biwa sound. Even worse, I dont have the shou (a traditional Japanese reed instrument) that Wanwan used in this song. So I improvised with church organ (?)
I was already aware that this song is hard to arrange, but when I got into making this, it was WAY WAY harder than my expectations. This single arrange is actually two (best?) attempts merged into one. Go figure.
I will now undergo the usual hating-on-my-new-work phase. That feeling of could have made it better is already creeping in.
Will I finish the Tougenkyuu trio? Yes. Princess Peach is up on the list.")
