The Project tool allows you to project a spline (project as in the verb for "projection", not as in "a project") onto a surface or other geometry.

Thanks to a tip from José Espizua, it turns out that there's a feature that allows this behavior with polygonal objects too! Check it out: goo.gl/M3ltb
