A few blocks north of the Washington Monument is a building that for many years was known as MacGillivray’s Pharmacy. For the last 20 years it has been Spirits of Mt. Vernon, a wonderful neighborhood wine shop. This building has a fabulous grassroots preservation story and we are delighted to be joined by Charlie Duff of Jubilee Baltimore and Vicki Schassler, the owner of Spirits of Mt. Vernon, to help tell it. Thanks for watching and see you next week with another video.

This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Every week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
