In late summer squirrels in our area often have a second litter of babies. Here we have five babies of different ages - the largest is around 6 weeks old, the middle three are about 4 weeks old (their eyes began to open shortly after this video was taken), and the smallest is between 2 and 3 weeks old. All of the babies will be released into the wild, although it may not be until next spring. (The loud buzzing background noise in the video is from cicadas calling in the trees in the early evening.)
