You may remember ๐บ๐๐๐๐, ๐กโ๐ ๐๐๐ โ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ we previously watched teaching her two kittens to eat a fish she brought to this clearing. Now, nighttime trail camera footage captures another lesson as she calls them toward an aquaculture pond. The kittens scramble up the steep, slippery bankโtrying, slipping and even returning thoroughly soaked!
This playful moment represents something much bigger: coexistence. The Godavari Fishing Cat Project works with local communities in Indiaโs Godavari region and established a fish bank to replace fish taken from family-owned ponds. Farmers no longer bear the loss, and fishing cats are no longer killed in retaliation.
