In Bangladesh's Hakaluki Haor, our partner, the Fishing Cat Conservation Alliance, received a neartoreaking report.
jungle cat kittens had been killed by two young boys who believed they were harmful animals.
Rather than condemn them, the team chose compassion. They visited communities, snared knowledge and built trust.
One of those boys is now a conservation fieldworker. He sets camera traps. He runs field surveys. He teaches his neighbors why fishing cats are vital to healthy wetland ecosystems.
