A very cool tape sent to me by a friend of the channel, the first release of his new-ish musical project, Fish Tank Revival! It's curated of a few months of recordings in 2021, half of which would make it onto an LP (soon to be uploaded). It's cool stuff, very heavily inspired by AP, but that's kind of the best part? It's not just a 100% aping as many Ariel-inspired artists online are, and this is the side of the APHG sound that I love. Goopy guitars, thin mixes and psychedelic, punky, goth-adjacent songwriting. It's what acts like Geneva Jacuzzi, and Part-Time could never quite capture for me. It's comfort food for my soul, man. There's even a cover of Baby, but in this psych, guitar-led style. Great jam.
