NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory | First SWOT data with engineer, Curtis Chen @NASAJPL | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 day ago
We chatted with SWOT engineer Curtis Chen to learn more about the first data that’s come down from the satellite. We also learned why we call this first glimpse of data "first light" and more on what the data is telling us so far.

SWOT, or Surface Water Ocean Topography, is a satellite that will track water on more than 90% of Earth’s surface. The mission launched last December and is being led by NASA and the French Space Agency CNES.

For more information on the SWOT mission, visit swot.jpl.nasa.gov or follow #TrackingWorldWater on social media.

SWOT is a collaboration between NASA and CNES, with contributions from the Canadian Space Agency and the UK Space Agency.
