One of the first things I always add to a new game project is character movement.
It is not only easier to create a new world, if you can move around in it.
It is also much more fun.
I have already created this simple little 3D world, so let's see how we can add a character with some simple FPS movement to it, so we can walk around and see what we are building.
I’m currently using Godot 4.4 beta 1, but I’ll keep updating whenever a new version of Godot comes out.
During this series we will touch upon several interesting topics including procedural generation, profiling and optimizing, comparing solutions, multithreading and much more.
