❄️ Our first ice fishing trip of the 2025–2026 season at Jackfish Lake, Alberta!

We’re out on the ice with the kids, targeting walleye, northern pike, and perch. The morning started cold with about 8 inches of ice and some flood water from recent snow, but the bite was hot!

We’re fishing in 20–24 feet of water using jig heads with salted minnows and tungsten jigs tipped with maggots for perch, which draws in the bigger pike and walleye.

🎣 The Rookie caught the first fish of the season, followed by an even bigger pike — an unforgettable family moment!
