Welcome back to DC Outdoors! Today we are kicking off the 2026 Alberta deer hunting season with an early September archery hunt in the Bow Only Zone. I'm exploring a piece of land I haven't hunted in years, carrying a general Whitetail tag and two antlerless deer tags.
After still-hunting through the timber and sitting in a couple of ambush spots, I do a full gear dump breakdown of my 2026 archery and pack setup before heavy rain cuts the hunt short at 11:00 AM.
