The first video game I ever played in my life was likely on some physical arcade machine at the local fair, or something on the Atari 2600. I don't remember exactly which, but when it comes to DOS games in the 90's, Alley Cat was definitely one of the earliest.
Developed by Bill Williams and published by Synapse for the Atari in 1983, this game was later ported to DOS by IBM in 1984. The DOS version is the one that I played and these 4-color CGA graphics have certainly stuck to my memory ever since.
This is an adventure platformer where you play as a street cat trying to jump into people's homes from their windows find food fast to collect points, and avoid dogs at all costs. Finally, make your way to your beloved female cat at the top of the street cat hierarchy!
