Today's writing vlog is getting REAL! I've been querying my first historical murder mystery manuscript, nicknamed "Project Mayfair," and drafting my second historical murder mystery, "Project Dagger." I did write a lot of words this weekend, which was a huge accomplishment. However, I did have a rough couple of days after getting rejected by a literary agent who had requested my full manuscript. Ouch.
Rejection is part of the writing process at every stage. Querying takes time. It hurts. It's a struggle. And I wanted to be real about my anxiety and emotions because I know a lot of people are in the same boat as me. If querying is stressing you out, I'm with you, and we're in this together. It's tough, but you're doing great.
