Jackie Reads and Writes | Get your Query Letter Critiqued…for Free! @jackiereadsandwrites | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
I see many people say they're paying for a query letter critique. But did you know you can get feedback (including from industry professionals!) with these resources, and it's all free? #authortube #querying #authortubers
The Shit No One Tells You About Writing podcast - two literary agents review queries: theshitaboutwriting.com
Absolute Write forum - get feedback from other writers: absolutewrite.com/forums/index.php?forums/query-letter-hell-syw.174
QTCritique - give and receive critique on queries, synopses, and opening pages: qtcritique.com
@GinaDenny - editor reviews query letters
Pub Tips on Reddit - get feedback from agented authors (and agents lurk there, too!) reddit.com/r/PubTips/new
I will also add that I've seen MANY people post on forums like r/PubTips saying they received more helpful feedback from these free resources than they did from a paid critique. I think we also need to remember that not everyone can afford a professional editor and it should not be mandatory to pursue publishing. You don't need to spend money to get valuable feedback!
