Peikko has carried out an extensive fire testing program to investigate the behavior of hollow-core slabs supported on DELTABEAM® slim-floor beams in fire case. The load transfer from slab to beam (indirect support) and the effect of beam deflection on the vertical shear resistance of the slab elements (flexible support) have been analyzed to provide safe and economic design solutions.
