Peikko had a significant role in the EU-funded research project SCHEDULE, which focused on construction efficiency of nuclear power plant. The project aimed to reduce construction time on site 50 % compared to the traditional cast-in-situ method. Whilst the demonstration building in this project was typical for nuclear sites, this form of construction has applications also in other sectors, such as for the construction of core walls in high-rise buildings.
