Fire 'n Ice live in my New York studio!
I love switching from clean sound to distortion. I call it “character change”. The technique when I play with a clean violin acoustic tone incorporates different bow pressure and most importantly..pointed attitude. Staccato!
Then kicking in my distortion with the all important wha wha pedal and a little echo and much less vibrato, creates a soaring flight that is hard to put in words…maybe you all can chime in with better wording!?
