There is so much that can go wrong: A lack of motivation, overscoping, poor time management, burnout, laziness, technical obstructions, running out of ideas, team members leaving you, shiny object syndrome, losing all of your progress due to a crashed hard drive as well as a lot of other distractions that keep you from reaching your goals.
How do you avoid all of that as a game developer? What can you do about it? And when should you quit?
I hope this discussion helps you to go all the way though with your game project! Just finish it, because it's such a shame how many awesome games never see the light of day.
