Your wrists will only get you so far in terms of speed, fluidity, and intricacy - especially when it comes to doubles, ghosting, and quick timekeeping.

If you’re a beginner wanting to strengthen your doubles, play quicker timekeeping patterns like you hear in jazz or Latin, or just become an all-around more technically-versed drummer, then today’s lesson is for you.

As a beginner, my doubles were sloppy & slow, my Moeller patterns on the hats weren’t great, and my singles weren’t fast. But I followed the exact process I’m teaching you today, and everything changed.

Today we’re diving into “4 steps to activating your fingers” so that you’re much more able to play what you want to play on the drums. YOU CAN DO THIS.

I believe that ANYONE can learn the drums, and I believe you’re far more capable of becoming a great drummer than you think you are. Don’t sell yourself short! SUBSCRIBE for more Non Glamorous videos that get straight to the point of solving drumming frustration. Stay Non Glamorous, Everyone!
