If you play heel-up on the bass drum but your right foot tends to be clumsy and slow… and YET you’re constantly rushing and not in control of your time… Then today’s lesson is for you!
You see, most drummers assume that heel-up is the way to immediately play faster on the bass drum. However, this doesn’t work at all if you make the mistake we’re talking about today.
The truth is, you can get a lot of speed & precision with heel up OR heel down as long as you’re doing this one core motion correctly.
Today I’m sharing with you what this “key motion” is for playing the bass drum quickly & fluidly, and we’ll break this down in 3 simple steps.
You’ll be going from clumsy, slow, and rushing - To confidently hammering out quick singles or doubles like you hear in “Immigrant Song” by Led Zeppelin no problem. YOU CAN DO THIS.
I believe that YOU can become the drummer everyone wants in their band. Anyone can learn the drums, and you’re far more capable of mastering this instrument than you think you are. Don’t sell yourself short!
