This is how much rain has fallen across parts of England and Wales today, 27th August 2026.

A band of heavy and thundery rain has pushed northwards, causing localised flooding and travel disruption in places.

The wettest places have seen 40-65mm of rain, which is much-needed, following a hot and dry summer that has left much of England and all of Wales in drought.
