Finally Home! After multiple days stuck in Elliot Lake because of Forest Fire Smoke, I make the final leg of my trip. This time I'm flying from Sudbury to Oshawa.
I know once again the comment discussion will be about me getting an IFR rating - Until I can save enough to add the IFR equipment to C-FMVU, I won't bother with the final stages of the IFR rating. I really enjoy flying in nice weather, looking out the window and watching the world go by. I don't fly because I need to get somewhere on a time schedule.
Until C-FMVU has that last piece of the puzzle (which will cost another $35-$40K between equipment and installation, etc) an IFR license doesn't make sense. The extra cost of renting an another aircraft 2-3 times a moth to stay current / proficient just isn't worth it. (also let me tell you being an IFR rated pilot doesn't mean that you are a better pilot... not by a long stretch.)

This flight is part of the Give Hope Wings Fundraiser in support of Hope Air.
I'm flying in a 2,086nm fundraiser for Hope Air, an organisation that helps lower income Canadians or those who live in remote areas access healthcare by providing flights (through private pilots and airlines) to larger urban centres.
