Played on a Gamecube and recorded with a DVD Recorder
The idea is simple, avoid Rings to get additional Rings from checkpoints then backtrack the level to get the Rings left behind
You get a certain ammount of Rings depending on how many you have once you pass a checkpoint
20~39 = 5
40~59 = 10
60~79 = 20
80~89 = (Speed Shoes)
90~ or higher = (shield)
90~ or higher with a shield = (Magnetic Shield)
If you exceed this number, you will not get aditional rings but shields instead, so that's why I pass on the checkpoints with an certain amount of rings and then backtrack to get the other rings
At M1 You will find an invisible ceiling/floor above the center path with the speed boosts after the c3, which helps to get back from the c4
But on M5 it was fixed, making it impossible to get back from c3
Then I found a way to get back from c3, get on the left inclination, at the end of the central path, charge a spin dash, release it, jump, avoid an invisible wall that exists there, homing attack and land on the spring of the left path
It works fine to get back from c3 and c4, but later I found that if you pass c5 and backtrack, the camera will get locked at the 3 paths area making it really hard to get back
Later I found an other way to backtrack, which you have to do with the locked camera turned back
Also, if you do the way shown at this video and land on the central path, sometimes the camera will get unlocked so you can backtrack by jumping from the left inclination of the central path as described above
At 4:28 I jumped again on the left path and destroy the boxes in order to unlock the camera, I think that it gets locked because of the boxes that you pass through
Well, backtrack from the rails is not easy, the chance of falling is high so be careful
Then you just have to do the level again and collect the other rings
In my opinion the M1 and M5 of Final Rush are the hardest ring attacks in the game
