So while I was back in the process of listening to every single friccin Final Fantasy Piano Collection back in the summer, this song caught my ear in the Final Fantasy 11 album. So I was like "hey, this sounds cool, but this seems a bit impossible for two hands..." Turns out it's a piano duet, so I teamed up with excellent fellow musician DS Music to bring you more epic grinding music from the first Final Fantasy MMORPG on piano (at least, I think it's grinding music...)!
I SWEAR next week won't be another Final Fantasy song... I hope...

Yeay Project M! The best Smash Bros. game with the best opening theme, amirite?...
...if youre not familiar with it, Project is a Smash Bros Brawl with the aim of recreating Melee mechanics such as wavedashing and L-cancelling. Next to Melee, this is currently my favorite Smash game due to the ability to play characters that are only available in Brawl (such as Snake and my main Wolf) and the great community around this game.
Anyways, you should all check out some Project M vids sometime if you havent already, its suuuper hype, just like this main theme to the mod! Hope you enjoy it along with my Metroid Gamecube controller and Star Fox snapback in the background :P

For the umpteenth time, Im hear to remind you just how much of an underrated game Assault is. While Nintendo didnt do everything right with it, it was still a step in the right direction for the franchise with a new story, new gameplay, and an AMAZING OST of remastered, orchestrated SF64 classics and new tunes like this one (which most people only recognize from Smash Bros ).

Actually, it was quite a coincidence that Square Enix decided to drop that KH3 orchestra trailer right at the moment that I had finished practicing this beautiful masterpiece. I just happened to find this while casually strolling around the web, and right off the bat I loved the simple and clean technicalities off the song that merged with classical piano literature rip-offs (cough cough Chopin). Sorry for the long wait since Gusty Garden Galaxy, but Im finally back to make bi-weekly piano VGM content for yall! This first upload might seem a bit weird of a genre for my channel, but hear me out:
Ive mentioned this group before, but Im part of a VGM community called Pixel Mixers that does themed monthly contests. This month was games with the same release year as your birth year. Being a huge Capcom fan myself (cant wait for Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Switch!), knowing that the OG Resident Evil 2 came out in 1998, and seeing all the hype for the Resident Evil 3 remake, I knew it was time to cover the iconic Save Room theme!
For this cover, I wanted to do a little something extra than just the short tune that the original is. I expanded on it by trying to imitate the delay effects of the harp, adding some T H I C C Rachmaninoff-style chords and key changes, and incorporating some tid-bits of extra songs such as the Resident Evil 1 Save Room theme and even J-E-N-O-V-A from Final Fantasy 7 (another great PlayStation game with an amazing remake coming soon)! Hope you enjoy the spooky/relaxing vibe I tried to recreate with this cover.

Heres the quaint little theme from Circhester, a snowy city that rings with holiday cheer just like the current abysmally cold weather were getting now IRL. This track really gave me some Super Mario Galaxy vibes with its chill synths and guitar, so I thought it would be a great chill cover to do for this time of year. Im not really a Pokémon person (the only game Ive really played is Hey You Pikachu for the Nintendo 64 😂), but I hope all of you that are currently playing Sword & Shield are enjoying it!

Well before there was Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild music, Studio Ghibli was able to make gorgeous soundtracks that embodied the nature, spirit, culture, and beauty of their classic films from the heart and soul of Joe Hisaishi. One of my favorite tracks plays at the Princess Mononoke when all is finally right with the world and nature has returned and whatnot and then theres this gorgeous piano and orchestra track that just gets at the heartstrings ❤️
I put my all into trying to make this cover pay my due respects to the work of Hisaish, so I hope my cover of this piece romps through your nostalgia veins and captures the essence of Studio Ghibli :)

Fiiiinally, after almost 3 months since my last Metroid cover (Ridleys Theme), I got the time to round out my series of epic, cinematic, Metroid piano covers with the song that, IMO, has the best bassline and atmosphere in all video game music history in one of the best video games of all time: the ominous prologue from Super Metroid for the SNES! Why I decided to put two-handed octave runs, I will never know o_0
This should conclude the series of Advanced Metroid covers (along with the Prime main theme, Kraids Lair, Brinstar, and Ridleys Theme), if theres any Metroid songs you guys think I should cover, feel free to request them below, I always love me some good Metroid music ❤
P.S. Also, if youre still reading this, Im really considering putting all my Metroid covers together into an album to actually release with a VGM label o_0 Would you guys be interested in it?

This is my first time playing something from the Final Fantasy Piano Operas, and man was it a doozy to perform! At first I wanted to try out Liberi Fatali, but once I saw the crazy fast arpeggios and scales of this classic song, I knew I had to go try it out. It was a lot of fun to do, so I hope yall enjoy my performance of the Gilgamesh battle theme Clash on the Big Bridge from Final Fantasy V!
