Previously, Squall and Quistis returned to Balamb Garden after defeating Ifrit at the Fire Cavern and doing some other preparations in and around Balamb. During his free time prior to the SeeD exam, Squall began playing Triple Triad against Trepe Groupie #1 in the Cafeteria to earn some cards. Some will help him win card games, while others will be modded into items that will be refined into spells. Squall will now continue playing Triple Triad at Balamb Garden and will hopefully acquire a couple of rare cards: Quistis and MiniMog.
