This is a battle against the Boss Abzu and his Shoats, on NORMAL MODEL, with a team that has completed the game on all difficulties, which is why it will seem easy.
The general strategy is the same of course, it will just take much longer without the proper weapons, materia & limit breaks.
TIPS
- Equip elemental+fire on your weapons (I forgot to do this for Tifa)
- Very similar to last time.
- Ignore the Shoats as every time he uses the Blackwater move, they respawn.
- Use Fire-based spells on his horns.
- Stay in between the pipes when he uses the Blackwater.
- Run and dodge his pounce attacks.
- Keep a dedicated healer. (I thought I would just muscle through this without needing to heal, so I didn't properly equip Cure on anyone but Cloud.)
- Summon Ifrit
