I had two Earring Relics equipped on both Locke and Terra to provide a large boost to the damage their magic would do, and had them spend their turns spamming Blizzara because I love AP training.
Strago, meanwhile, used the Aqua Breath Lore (All right, for those of you rabid FFV players, blue magic), which is also highly effective against this boss.
My party is level 30, which I know is almost outrageously overleveled, but I like AP training with espers enough so that a lot of my party will be this powerful on a similar scale throughout most of the game... Probably. However, I'll try to utilize strategies that someone of average level could still pull off, but I won't be treating those of you who don't even train AP with espers who give you better elemental magic, so, for example, don't expect to see me using Blizzard instead of Blizzara (and eventually, Blizzaga) on fire bosses like these.
Anyway, since I'm done ranting, enjoy!
