Final Fantasy Tactics is one of those games that I first played as a child, back when I was still new to the RPG and SRPG genres. As much as I adored the game back then, for some reason, I never put aside the time to give it another playthrough.
But that all changed in late 2025, when this powerhouse SRPG was FINALLY remastered as FF Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.
Since its original release all the way back in 1997, fans have often considered it as the BAR for grid based-tactical RPG combat, and that is a claim that it rightly deserved. There truly is something special about this game, and I am so happy that now everyone who hasn’t had a chance to experience this classic, can finally see what all the fuss is about, and with a fresh coat of paint!

Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core has always been one of my favorite games on the PSP, and it is an absolute crime that for all of these years, this ancient handheld console has been the only way to experience Final Fantasy 7s, must play prequel. I know there are some people out there who didn’t get a chance to experience this one back in the day, so if you’re one of those people, and a fan of Final Fantasy 7, playing Reunion should be a no brainer. This remaster irons out a lot of kinks from the original, and is the best way to play the game.

Over the years, I’ve heard some great things about Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and most recently Honkai Star Rail. These games were all made by Chinese development company Mihoyo, also known as Hoyoverse.
I recently had a few weeks without a new RPG to play, so thought it was time to bite the bullet, and give the latest title, Honkai: Star Rail a go.
Now, where Genshin Impact is a multiplayer, open world, action combat RPG, Honkai: Star Rail changes things up with single player, turn based combat, and smaller locations to explore.
While the game was only released last year, and has only had several major updates, there is still a LOT of content available, easily providing well over 30 hours of play time. And the best part is, the game is free to play. I didn’t spend and was still able to experience everything that I wanted and needed to.
I think that many of you out there will get a lot out of Honkai: Star Rail, and hopefully, this review will let you know if it’s worth your time.

IKINAGAMES certainly aren’t the biggest household name, only having released a few other titles of varying genres, since the studio was established in 2011.
With their latest title, Starbites, the team specifically wanted to evoke the golden age of Japanese console games, a period known for experimentation, diverse settings, and rich world building.
And this is exactly what you’re getting from Starbites, as it looks, feels and plays like a modern JRPG but from the PS2 era.
What this means is that we have a solid, yet simple JRPG experience, with some great ideas, but never tries to reinvent the wheel.
I know that that there are some people out there who love this kind of the experience, and if that’s you, then starbites is definitely worth a look.
