Long time no cover. I've been on a bit of a hiatus lately with school ending, finding a full time job on top of my part time job and trying to hang out with friends. There just isn't enough time in a day. Those who have been following me on Facebook are aware that I've been having a bit of an emotional roller coaster lately also... Without being able to properly convey emotions, playing a piano piece worth uploading onto YouTube may prove to be a tad bit difficult.
In any case, this is my first upload in over a month and I've decided to do something different. This is Vamo Alla Flamenco from the Final Fantasy Piano Collections album. After hearing the original, I've always had an extreme desire to cover it. I remember trying this song a long time ago, and ultimately failed. My fingers just couldn't keep up with how this song is supposed to be played. I could have played it at half time, but I wouldn't really be satisfied. To be honest, I still struggle with the song quite a bit. You can hear some mistakes here and there in this video. But hey, I took this while I was sick so you can't really blame me lol.
I want to thank those of you who have been following me and giving me encouragement. I also want to thank those who have been patiently waiting for my uploads. Hopefully I'll be able to upload more consistently from now on. I really need to get back into making sheet music...
For those wondering why I smack the piano at the end of the video, it was like a "YES! FINALLY!" kind of feeling for me lol. I had my fair struggle with this song, and to see this much progression is quite satisfying. Am definitely better now than before I quit! I remember the time I was practicing this at my ex's relative's house a few years back... I was pretty much kicked off the piano because I sucked so much LOL T^T

UPDATE: I GOT A NEW CAMERA :D HD RECORDINGS FTW
After some long, hard work I finally bring to you Kotoura-Sans ending theme, Kibou no Hana. This piece took me quite a while to learn, was rather frustrating but Im happy I ended up getting it to semi-performance par. I recorded this at my cousins house, where he has a Roland Digital Piano. I used the Magical Piano effect from the piano, since I found it suited this song lol. I might go record at his place more often!

Damn you, Animenzzz for making this arrangement for big hands lol. I had a really tough time learning this, not to mention being unable to play it the way I really want to due to my tiny hands :( I hope I played it well enough to get some recognition from you though :)

LONG DESCRIPTION FTW WEEEEE~
So its been a while since my last personal upload, and today I present to you Nagisa Warm Piano Arrange! How else would we celebrate Christmas eve as well as Nagisas birthday? :D
I actually had this prepared for a while, and I wanted to upload it as universally close to Christmas eve as possible. You know, with time differences and all :3 Anyway, theres actually a huge backstory as to my preparation for this song... For those not interested, feel free to skip the next section~

I first attempted this song over 4 years ago, before I quit the piano, and I could not play this song properly for the LIFE of me D: It took me forever to learn just one bar, and even then I just couldnt memorize it. Simply, this piece was just out of my level...
After some time on YouTube, I started to notice some improvement in my piano abilities. Christmas was coming up, and I had just finished rewatching Clannad, so I figured I would give this piece another try. I had found what I considered a perfect transcription, so I decided not to transcribe it myself, nor did I decide to alter any of the notes given to me.
I started learning this piece of October of 2013, thinking I would hit the same wall I did 4 years ago... I already knew I wanted to perform this piece as a Christmas special, and I wanted to give myself enough time to perform this piece with justice. It surprisingly only took me about 4 days to memorize this piece, and a few more on top of that to play it up to speed, which -really- surprised me. I felt confident, so I decided to work on some other songs in the meantime... (i.e. Sisters Noise, Beyond the Sky). In this time, I -COMPLETELY- forgot how to play Nagisa Warm Piano Arrange...
By the time December rolled around, school got extremely busy with exams and whatnot. When I realized it was already December, I noticed I only had 10 days remaining to record Beyond the Sky as well as this piece. It took me much longer than expected to get a solid recording for Beyond the Sky, I had 2 days remaining to relearn this piece from scratch... Ive never felt such time pressure before.
Why the time limitation? Well, JoyDreamer was going to arrive in Canada about a week before I wanted to upload this, and no way in hell would I have a recording session while shes here and waste any time we could have spent together :3
So while this recording is not perfect, I tried my best and did not give up until the -very- last moment. I think I finished recording at 5am the morning she was arriving... The effort was totally worth it.

In any case... This video is in dedication to JoyDreamer! She has been such a sweetheart to me, and well... Now shes my girlfriend ^///^. We actually just finished watching this anime together hehe (It was Joys first time watching this anime! :DDD). Joy, thank you so much for everything. For all of the support and friendship youve given me, to coming all the way to Canada just to meet with me. It really means just so much, I could burst into tears if I think about it too much ;_; BUT! Ill just appreciate the little time that we have together. :3 Joy, just know this: I love you :3

In addition, after this upload I will be going into a little hiatus. I realized that apart from school assignment bombardment, I havent really taken a break from piano or transcribing. I think I could use a little break to refresh myself, as this recording was quite difficult for my level of piano. I hope everyone understands! :,D
