At first I wasn't going to make video about the iPhone 17 event. There wasn't enough in there that related to Final Cut Pro to even bother. Sure there's a new version of ProRes RAW, sure there's an update to the Final Cut Camera app, sure there are new tools for the iPhone that will matter to video editors using Final Cut Pro... but they all seemed kind of insignificant.

Then I found out Apple mentioned the release of FCP 11.2. They let attendees of the even see FCP 11.2 in action. And then Blackmagic Design dropped a press release about supporting ProRes RAW not only in Davinci Resolve but in the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. Huge news!

And of course that got me thinking... So I had to make a video.
