I haven't been making as much Final Cut Pro content. I haven't been live-streaming at all. There's been this nagging question popping into my mind over and over... Is Final Cut Pro boring? In this video I discuss what *could* make Final Cut Pro seem boring, even to its most passionate users. But this video is also heavy with introspection about whether or not it's me who's bored... or boring. Am I expecting Apple to solve my lack of motivation to crank out more and more FCP content, or should I be looking inward to ask myself, "What's really going on here?" I also reference Steven Pressfield's excellent book THE WAR OF ART to help me identify whether or not these tangents I'm going on are productive and healthy or if they're just Resistance getting in the way of me doing what I truly should be doing: making work.
If you're curious about how I shot this... I used a Canon VIXIA HF100 camcorder in "Cinema Mode" and added FilmConvert Nitrate to give the video its final look.
