The lovely, multi-talented Ida Lupino ( February 4, 1918 – August 3, 1995) was one of the ladies of noir, and one of the earliest ones at that. Having begun in films as a teenager, when she went to Warner Brothers in the late 1930s she began playing stronger and more dramatic roles. She could play tough, vulnerable, femme fatale, etc. Not only did noir give her more dramatic parts, but it also gave her a new career in a sense - not just as an actress, but as a producer and director as well - and she directed a few film noir movies herself. A tribute to Jenny Maxwell (September 3, 1941 - June 10, 1981). She is best remembered for playing the troubled and bratty Ellie Corbett in Blue Hawaii (1961), but she also had a fairly prolific television career, until she gave up her career to focus on being a mother. She was only 16 when she came to Hollywood and unfortunately got caught up in a wild lifestyle for several years but ultimately, she turned her life around. In 1981, she was about to divorce her second husband and was looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life, but it was not to be. A little tribute to Spock (only the most iconic and beloved character in the Star Trek franchise. The late, great Leonard Nimoy (1931 - 2015) composed and wrote the song Maiden Wine which appeared on the 1968 album The Touch Of Leonard Nimoy and he performed an excerpt of it in the season 3 episode of the original series, Platos Stepchildren (1968). I think its a beautiful song, wonderfully performed by Nimoy; all clips are from the original series. Enjoy!")
