Let's go for a walk in the park today. But not just any park will do! It's gotta be VLOGNOSIS-approved! Kinda like how I take my beaches (if you recall that episode) – deadly & with a good story :P
This park is definitely VLOGNOSIS-approved.
Just up the pacific coast highway from Mugu rock is... “Missile Park” but it should be renamed to AWESOME WARGAMES AND JET FLYBYS AND ROCKET ENGINES PARK.
Your first clue that this is a different kind of park... is that sweet fighter jet just chilling next to those houses. But the fun doesn't stop there... #firepowerfordays
If I had a backyard, I'd want all these goodies to be in it - right next to my hot tub time machine.
The F-4 Phantom II set 15 world records when it was created, including a speed record, and an altitude record. It helped to defend the world against bullies, from 1960 all the way through the early 90's. It was also used by the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds at one time. 12 countries used these jets in their fleets!
But if these static displays of force aren't good enough for you – check out this real, live fighter jet coming in for a landing! Of course I had to leave my zoom lens at home today....
This place is full of high powered weapons. Michael Bay would be proud.
The F14 tomcat is my personal favorite. If you've ever seen the movie "Top Gun", you've seen the F14. The Tomcat is the successor to the Phantom we saw earlier.
