Three of FIFA's six confederations have publicly declared they've lost confidence in Gianni Infantino. Between them they hold 136 of the 211 votes. You need 106 to win. So how is he still the favourite to be re-elected in March?
In July, a confidential 25-page document went out to FIFA's member associations. Put together with J.P. Morgan, it valued FIFA's commercial arm at 20 BILLION dollars and proposed selling a fifth of it to outside investors. The plan was dead within four days — but the president who signed off on it is still in the job, and he's already campaigning.
