We're tackling the Masked Carnivale Stage 31 next featuring a visit to Kugane and back to see a unique fighting style of the Far East. This time, we end up facing against Gogo of classic FFIII / VI lore in Ul'dah's arena.
The trick here is to cast nothing damage-wise on him, magic, or physical, during the Mimicry buff. The rest is relatively standard dodge and avoid AoEs.
For part 2 however, the danger comes from the multitude of Meteors raining down on the arena. I found you can safely Diamondback once you see the second set of very large fiery ground AoEs about to disappear as it will cast in time to catch the raidwide Gogo Meteor.
From there, be ready with two back to back Exuviation casts to cleanse the ice and heavy debuffs and position at a cardinal area of the arena to drop a large Thunder AoE which persists for some time. You have 3 of these to drop, similar to the singular in phase 1. From there, he keeps looping meteors and thunder so kill him before this or have some MP regeneration ready!
