Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, and this video covers a full playthrough of Chapter 5, Blood in the Water.
Pure gameplay, no commentary, captured on Nintendo Switch 2. The Queen's Blood tournament section has been cut from this video.
Chapter 5 takes place entirely aboard the Shinra-8 cruise ship as Cloud and the party make their way to Costa Del Sol, following the events of Junon in Chapter 4. What starts as a relatively relaxed voyage quickly descends into chaos when fiends begin raiding the ship, sending the party deep into the cargo hold and engine room to defend the passengers and track down the source of the infestation. The chapter closes with a boss fight against Jenova Emergent, a grotesque creation formed from Jenova's cells merging with the black robed figures, and one of the most visually striking and unsettling encounters in the entire game.
Chapter 5 is one of the shorter chapters in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth but delivers one of its most memorable boss encounters, drawing directly from the Jenova mythology that sits at the heart of the original Final Fantasy VII story.
