I used to think I was really good at skim coating. I’ve had guys come behind me and paint cause they thought it was already sanded. Now I can see every tiny flaw bright as day because of the light. It is a perfectly designed light to show all your flaws. It will hurt your feelings
The suction power is amazing. When in ceiling mode you can actually let go and it will be stuck to the ceiling.
The dust collection is amazing as well. Paired with the Festool DC 36 the auto off and on is pretty cool. I have confidence sanding over any furniture and the life without having to worry about a mess.
Learn the tool. It gets better as you get better. Find what speed, settings and grit work best for you and. Practice your motions. Like I said the tool improves as you improve.
Not very helpful for sanding corners but I think that’s pretty obvious. Edges aren’t terrible the vacuum edge gets in the way sometimes but there is no other way to design it to eliminate this. I will take the excellent suction over this minor inconvenience.
