Gamma rays detected by NASA’s Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope gave scientists a look under the hood of a rare supernova that produced much more light than normal.

![NASAs Roman Space Telescope: Systems, Assemble!
In September 2024, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope passed a key milestone and was approved for the next stage of construction. Work on the main systems that will make up the final spacecraft is finishing, and the team at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center is ready to begin integration, the process of connecting them together. This video celebrates the effort to reach the final stages of assembly.

Launching no later than May 2027, Roman is NASA’s next flagship mission. An infrared survey telescope with the same resolution as Hubble, but 100 times the field of view, Roman is being built and tested at NASA’s Goddard Spaceflight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Partners from across the country are contributing to this effort.

![LuGRE: Testing GNSS Capabilities from the Moon!
The Lunar GNSS Receiver Experiment (LuGRE) will investigate whether signals from two Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) constellations, the U.S. Global Positioning System (GPS) and European Union’s Galileo, can be tracked at the Moon and used for positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT). This experiment is a collaborative effort between NASA and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The receiver was developed by Qascom, an Italian aerospace company. LuGRE is a part of the NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative and is hosted on Firefly Aerospaces “Blue Ghost lunar lander.

NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) has been watching the Sun for 15 years — and this spacecraft sees much more than meets the eye!
SDO’s 10 imaging channels capture visible, ultraviolet, and extreme ultraviolet light, helping scientists study solar material at a range of different temperatures. Together, they reveal a prismatic picture of our ever-changing star.
