Hey all! Today's video features a free federal grant scammer, posing as a fake agent from the United States Treasury Department. I played along dumb with this scammer until he was about to transfer me, then let it drop. He got pretty mad, and I pressed him for details about his operation and where he was actually from.

About the scam: Fake agents will call saying they are from the "United States Treasury Department", and that you have been
approved for a free federal grant, usually for about $8,000-$12,000 dollars. They will then attempt to get your banking or credit card details so that they can wire you the grant money, after you've paid them a small "bank registration fee" through Moneygram or wire transfer. In this case, the scammer said I needed to pay 3% of the $8,000, or $240. Usually the scammers are overseas, in this case he claimed to actually be from Thailand. I called them back about 20 times from various numbers, then the scammer's number stopped working... Blast.
