A little late but I still had to do a LitLand for February! This game is how I pick my TBR (to be read) every month.

*Current LitLand Rules*
There are six colors tied to six different genres. Each card I pull advances me across the board and informs which genre I pick from to add to my To Be Read (TBR) pile for the month.
I pull four cards to advance across the board each month.
If I land on a dot, I have to pull a prompt from my Stuck Square cards; I also use these as punishment cards if I haven’t completed one of my books from a previous month. BUT I do allow rollovers, so I essentially give myself two months to get a book read, or else I have to take a punishment. Punishment pulls also don’t help me advance across the board.
If I pull a card with a book on it, I have to go to wherever the genre on the card takes me. I also have to pull a Challenge Card and complete that prompt.
There are also Troll Bridge cards, but I only pull those if I want to cross a bridge or if I land on a square with a rainbow sticker. I have to complete the prompt on that card within the month or I have to take a punishment.
There’s also the Monthly Troll, which is an optional challenge for you and me. I will pull a Troll Bridge card and if I succeed in whatever the challenge is, I can protect myself from punishment in the next month. You’re welcome to play along and take on this challenge with me, but no pressure.
At the end of LitLand I get to treat myself with a book haul. Currently, I’m on a low-buy where I’m trying not to add too many things to my TBR but I’m giving myself some wiggle room if something comes up that I really want.
Hopefully, this helps keep us all up-to-date on the rules. Sometimes I make tweaks as I go along, but the current rules affecting this month’s game should be listed above.
*So You’d Like to Support My Channel?*
First of all, thank you so much for getting this far down in the description box! I really appreciate you being here and being part of my bookish life. If you like what I’m about and would like to show some support here are a couple of things you can do.
~Like the video! It helps me so much to know what’s working and what I should keep pursuing.
~Leave me a comment! Even if I don’t respond right away, I read all my comments and they mean a lot to me. They also help me get a sense of what this lil community cares about.
💫I also have an Amazon wishlist. 💫There’s no pressure to spend money—either of the above options are amazing! But it’s here if you’d like to poke around. amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2X4S8WQI73H9?ref_=wl_share
