Picking books you think you’ll love sounds easy, doesn’t it? We do it all the time as readers. Yet it’s kind of hard because by choosing your “five-star read” you’ve set up some pretty big expectations for yourself and that poor unsuspecting book. I think that’s why I’m a little nervous about today’s video.
I truly hope that there’s my next great read in here (!) but I also have no idea where that magic could come from next. I talk about it briefly in this video, but five-star ratings have as much to do with my feelings as any technical or literary quality of a book. How do you judge five stars for a book? And do you think I’ve made any successful picks?
