Running tillage, planted 250 acres of corn-on-corn, helped Dad get the sprayer dialed in, and got rained out by suppertime. Somewhere in there I went on a small rant about how my tractor
knows more than my great-grandfather did.

Why corn-on-corn this year: we were heavy on corn last year (about 65% of
acres instead of our usual 50/50), and corn is cash flowing a little better
than soybeans right now given our locked-in inputs. Plus, this field just
grows better corn than beans.
