Ludhiana, May 29(ANI): Encouraged by good returns, farmers in large numbers have taken up sunflower cultivation at Ludhiana in Punjab state. The area under sunflower cultivation in Punjab has drastically increased as compared to previous years. Punjab today boasts of five to six thousand hectares of land under sunflower cultivation.The Indian Council of Agriculture Research ICAR organised a seminar at Ludhiana in order to familiarize with sunflower cultivation.
