Kolkata/Kerala, June 5(ANI): Kolkata India's busiest northeastern city deserted. The city businesses are closed and transportation services are suspended fearing violence, in response to the recent fuel price hike. This is the effect of the shutdown call given by left parties. Locals understand the logic behind the price hike, but say that it would badly hit the middle class. In Kerala, shops and business establishments were also closed in support of the bandh call.
