Recorded during Sundance 2026, this farmer story features AJ Kanip, COO of Ute Tribal Enterprises and manager of Ute Bison Meat Company.

AJ oversees bison production on Ute reservation lands, supporting economic development, food sovereignty, and traditional land-based agriculture. His work centers Indigenous-led stewardship and the role of bison in sustaining community, culture, and land.
