Farm Life - Turning Strawberries Into Jam and Logs Into Garden Stakes
Today was one of those good, simple days — the kind that reminds us why we started this farm in the first place.
The strawberries were finally ripe enough to pick, so we rolled up our sleeves and made a batch of sweet, homemade freezer jam — a taste of summer we’ll be grateful for when the days get cold again. 🍓
Out in the garden, things are starting to take off, and our tomato plants needed a little help. So we fired up the sawmill and cut support stakes from lumber right here on the farm. There’s something satisfying about using your own trees to grow your own food — a full-circle kind of feeling.
We wrapped up with some good old-fashioned garden work: weeding, checking on plants, and soaking in the progress. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s real — and that’s what makes it beautiful.
