This film marks the last month and day in August 2022 of this iconic health food store in Holywood Town, County Down. It was established and run for 37 years with remarkable dedication by Heidi, who originally taught at the Steiner School in the town. Not just town residents, but people from all over the county would visit, seeking successful natural remedies to health issues - from a comprehensive range of natural solutions and Heidi's encyclopedic knowledge of tried and tested products - which often included consultation with the familiar manuals and magnifying glass at the counter. There were also, children's toys, books, candles, soaps, stationary, paints, canvas and even musical instruments - visiting in itself was a pleasure to see all these items. Perhaps you walked past the Iona at night and spotted Heidi still behind the counter, unpacking and preparing fresh stock for the following day's business?

We are glad Heidi lives in our town and hope to see her on High St or perhaps out on an evening walk on our leafy avenues. We wish her the very best in her future!
There's a small dedication here also to Christel who worked every week at the Iona and is very fondly remembered by all her knew her, including my brother Steven who was a pupil of hers at Steiner School on Croft Road. Never forgotten.
