Lloyd Green is my all-time favorite steel player. I have tried to play some of Lloyd's stuff along with a Band-in-a-Box track of Farewell Party (freely available on my steel website below). My playing doesn't come close to Lloyd's, but I'm going to keep working at it.

Here's some cool Lloyd style licks that I play in this song. The G knee lowers the 2nd string a whole tone. These licks would be played before I modulate from the key of D to E in the song...
